Happy Kernel's began with our love for the community and the Treasure Valley. After calling Idaho our home 10 years ago, and reaching retirement from the steel and construction industry, we felt led to do something different in our next phase of life. Our family of 7 has always been connected with a passion for community and sharing experiences with food. That's when we landed on gourmet popcorn. Happy Kernel's surfaced as the easiest way we could love and serve our community. Through our innovative kitchen creations, we aim to create happiness & share joy in every bag. One kernel at a time.

Meet the Owners
Gilbert Alzaga
Co-Owner and Operator of Happy Kernel’s Gourmet Popcorn & Fudge in Garden City, Idaho. Gilbert is newly retired from Structural Ironwork, which he did for twenty-two years. Construction Management and raising five kids have prepared him for this next journey in life. Gilbert has been given this opportunity to serve in his community and create happiness with every bag of popcorn.
Tina Alzaga
As the Co-Owner and Joy Creator at Happy Kernel's Gourmet Popcorn & Fudge, Tina creates a joyful experience through popcorn one kernel at a time. Her biggest accomplishments are her 5 amazing children who have hearts for service. As Tina says, "Just have fun! It's Popcorn!"
